The third generation, Alessandro and Daniele Ciceri, took over the company during the mid 1970s, constantly diversifying and expanding the product range. The expansion required the building of a second plant, located in Castiglione d’Agga. The decision was considered a bold one at a time when all of the other Italian companies were small-size businesses that tended to specialize in producing only a few types of tools. By increasing the breadth of the line the company was able to compete with foreign rivals, who were dominating the market at the time, and make the brand more attractive to export business.
